📢 We’re Hiring: Warehouse Manager 📍 Location:Luanshya, Copperbelt Province, Zambia 📋 Reports to:General Manager – Production Role Overview Goldenlay Agri Limited is seeking an experienced *Warehouse Manager* to oversee the entire egg-handling operation at our Luanshya facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the collection, grading, packing, storage and distribution of eggs while ensuring efficient warehouse operations, quality standards, regulatory compliance, budget management and continuous operational improvement. Key Responsibilities 1️⃣ Operational Management Manage daily egg collection, grading, packing and warehouse operations to maintain product quality and operational efficiency. * Ensure all warehouse and egg-handling equipment is functioning effectively by coordinating maintenance and repairs. * Implement and maintain FIFO (First-In, First-Out) stock management systems. * Monitor production performance, quality standards and operational KPIs, providing regular reports to management. * Identify and implement improvements that increase efficiency, reduce waste and lower operating costs. * Coordinate activities between the Egg Room, Warehouse and Distribution Centre to ensure smooth product flow. 2️⃣ Team Leadership & People Management * Lead, supervise and develop warehouse staff, including Supervisors and General Employees. * Manage recruitment, onboarding, training and staff development to build a productive workforce. * Conduct performance reviews and manage employee performance in line with company expectations. * Handle disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies and Zambian labour legislation. * Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, safety and continuous improvement. * Ensure adequate staffing levels and efficient workforce planning across all shifts. 3️⃣ Administration, Compliance & Reporting * Manage departmental budgets, supplier relationships and procurement of warehouse materials. * Ensure compliance with biosecurity, food safety, health and safety, security and ESG requirements. * Prepare accurate daily, weekly and monthly operational reports. * Maintain detailed records relating to stock, production, attendance, incidents and warehouse activities. * Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of packaging and operational supplies. Qualifications & Experience Applicants should have: * A minimum of **5 years’ experience** in a senior warehouse, production or distribution management role. * Proven experience managing teams, conducting performance reviews and handling disciplinary processes. * Strong knowledge of FIFO inventory management systems. * Experience with budgeting, procurement and supplier management. * Experience in the **egg, poultry or fresh produce industry** will be an added advantage. * Knowledge of biosecurity, food safety, health & safety and ESG compliance. * A solid understanding of warehouse and distribution operations in a fast-paced production environment. Skills & Attributes The ideal candidate will possess: * Strong leadership, people management and decision-making skills. * Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities. * High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. * The ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure. * A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong sense of accountability. * Professionalism, integrity and a sober character.
