A Sales Engineer forms part of an integrated team of Integrated Fire Technology Zambia. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving new business acquisition, expanding enterprise customer base, developing strategic partnerships and building a strong, sustainable sales pipeline. The role requires an individual who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on sales execution and who understands Fire Suppression Systems. Key Roles and Responsibilities Develop sales and route-to-market strategies for Zambia. Develop and implement a strategic sales plan that expands the company’s customer base to meet years sales budget. Develop segment strategies and tactical plans. Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status. Ongoing Competitor analysis with respect to competitor pricing, market share etc. Ensure all sales quotes are promptly submitted and followed up as per agreed timeframe. Preparing monthly and quarterly sales projections. Track and analyze sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics. Manage and resolve customer complaints regarding a product or service. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM system, with tracking of sales activities, opportunities, proposals and conversions. Qualifications and Experience Experience: [2-5] years of progressive technical sales experience, specifically in fire protection or life safety systems. Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Fire Protection, Electrical) or a related field. Technical skills: Necessary Sales Training, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Incident Investigation, Legal Liability. Communication: Excellent public speaking, negotiation, and report-writing skills. Software skills: Ability to read blueprints and use CAD or CRM software. Drivers license (valid). Integrity and honesty in all dealings. Excellent analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure. Project Management (from quoting to final sign off). Demonstrable knowledge of the Zambian business environment, market dynamics and buyer behavior.
