RISK OFFICER – FORENSICS (1) LUSAKA ____________________________________________________________ Job Summary The primary purpose of the job is to conduct and support forensic investigations into suspected fraud, theft, misconduct and other irregularities; to gather, analyse and preserve evidence; and to provide fraud analytics, monitoring and reporting, within the set policies, procedures and standards. Job Specifications Conduct and assist in forensic investigations into allegations of fraud, theft, forgery, misappropriation, corruption, conflict of interest and other misconduct Conduct interviews with complainants, witnesses and persons of interest, and record accurate statements and interview notes. Prepare detailed and objective investigation reports documenting the allegation, procedures performed, evidence collected, analysis conducted, findings and conclusions reached. Maintain the fraud incident and case management register, ensuring that all matters are logged, tracked and closed with documented outcomes. Assist in fraud risk assessments to identify fraud schemes, threats and control weaknesses across products, processes, branches and third parties. Monitor fraud key risk indicators and report deviations, loss trends and emerging fraud typologies to the Head – Risk. Track the implementation of investigation recommendations and remedial control improvements arising from closed cases. Assist in the development and delivery of fraud awareness training and campaigns to educate employees and customers on fraud risks. Ensure that forensics policies and procedures are applied consistently across all aspects of the business. Minimum Qualifications Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Audit, Economics, Law, Criminology or equivalent Possession of, or studying towards, a professional qualification such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Forensics is an added advantage Minimum Requirements Minimum of 2 – 3 years’ work experience in forensic investigations, fraud risk management, internal audit or criminal investigations Working knowledge of investigation techniques, evidence handling and chain of custody principles Understanding of common fraud schemes and typologies in the lending and financial services environment Sound interviewing, statement-taking and evidence documentation skills Strong analytical, data analysis and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel Good report writing and communication skills Demonstrated integrity, objectivity and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion TO APPLY Suitable candidates must send their applications, attaching their current CVs and professional/academic certificates, to careers@bayport.co.zm.
