About the Role: Registered Nurse Jobs in Lusaka The Registered Nurse will play a vital role in providing comprehensive healthcare support, including treatment of common ailments, basic emergency care, and occupational health management within the medical center. Reporting directly to the Administrator, the successful candidate will ensure the delivery of efficient and compassionate nursing care in a dynamic clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Provide basic emergency care and first response treatment. Conduct medical assessments, health screenings, and surveillance programs. Identify and triage occupational illnesses and injuries appropriately. Administer treatments and medications as prescribed by Medical Doctors. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient and clinic records. Monitor and manage clinic stock levels, medical supplies, and equipment. Promote workplace health and wellness through educational sensitization programs. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards. Assist in managing workplace accidents and medical emergencies. Collaborate with emergency response teams and relevant stakeholders. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and infection prevention within the clinic. Prepare and submit clinic reports and statistics as required. Support employees with health education and preventive healthcare initiatives. Adapt to demanding work environments, including shift work as necessary. Qualifications and Experience Grade 12 Certificate. Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution. Occupational Health qualification is an added advantage. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia with a valid practicing license. Good clinical judgment and strong problem-solving skills. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ILS/ALS certification is advantageous. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and collaboratively within a team. Previous clinical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
