PROCUREMENT OFFICER – GOODS AND EQUIPMENT (Lusaka) 2026/07/24 Reference Number ZICTA/03/2026/PROCUREMENT Description 1. Purpose of the Job To procure goods and equipment on behalf of the Authority in accordance with the Public Procurement Act, and Procurement Regulations, Guidelines and Procedures prescribed by the Zambia Public Procurement Authority. 2. Statements of Main Accountabilities 2.1 Prepares solicitation documents for goods and equipment including determinations and findings, synopses, justifications which reflect procedures governing procurement. 2.2 Prepares procurement plans for the purchase of goods, equipment and supplies. 2.3 Follows and enforces ZICTA’s procurement policies and procedures; 2.4 Reviews, compares and analyses goods and equipment to be purchased; 2.5 Maintains and updates supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc. 2.6 Maintains good supplier relations and negotiates contracts. 2.7 Researches and evaluates prospective suppliers; 2.8 Prepares budgets, cost analyses, and reports. 2.9 Assists with the selection of bidders which involves public bid openings, preliminary bid evaluation, brand comparisons and final award of bids. 2.10 Supervises the Procurement Assistant engaged in rendering support service to the procurement team. Requirements a) General Education Grade Twelve (12) certificate b) Professional/AcademicQualifications Graduate Diploma in Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management. c) Relevant Pre-Job Experience The job requires above 3 to 5 years of experience.
