The Learning Ladder Montessori and Academy in Lusaka invites applications from qualified, dedicated and innovative educators to fill the position of Primary Assistant Teacher. Location: Twinpalms Road, Kabulonga Start Date: To be Communicated upon selection Key Responsibilities •Engage in planning, preparation, and feedback with the class teacher • Be actively involved in the planning; suggesting ideas and strategies for upcoming units/topics • Engage with and understand the daily/weekly plans • Ensure the classroom is set up at the start of the day for the lessons planned • Be actively engaged in teaching and learning at all times • Reinforce the learning objective through specific questioning and demonstration techniques • Work with children of ALL abilities and encourage independent working skills • Discuss academic concerns immediately with the class teacher • Be involved in progress meetings, as appropriate • Teach individuals, small groups, and whole class activities and support learners as needs arise. • Use collaborative talk and model expectations and high standards with the class teacher Minimum Qualifications & Requirements • Diploma or Degree in Primary Education •Special needs Qualification is an added advantage • Valid Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) registration. • Strong classroom management and assessment skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Key Competencies & Attributes • Strong understanding of learner-centered and inquiry-based teaching. • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs. • Highly organized, creative, and results-oriented. • Passionate about teaching and committed to continuous professional development. • Ability to work effectively within a team • Patient and child-focused • Passionate about Montessori philosophy and early childhood education • Creative, organised, and observant • Able to work both independently and as part of a team Interested candidates should submit: Application letter, Curriculum Vitae (CV), Copies of academic and professional certificates, Copy of NRC and Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) certificate.
