Alistair Logistics Zambia is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to manage procurement, inventory coordination and procurement governance for its Kapiri operation, supporting fleet, workshop and transport operations. Location: Kapiri Mposhi, Central Province, Zambia. Job type: Full-time. Key responsibilities • Manage daily procurement activities and ensure compliance with approved procedures. • Source truck, trailer, workshop, tyre, fuel and operational materials through approved suppliers. • Enforce the No PO, No Purchase principle and maintain proper documentation. • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment of critical spares and consumables. • Coordinate emergency procurement and breakdown support. • Work closely with workshop, operations and stores teams. • Process and align POs, GRPOs, invoices and supporting documents in SAP. • Support alignment between SAP and FMP (Fleet Maintenance Pro). • Coordinate intercompany stock transfers and maintain accurate records. • Support supplier negotiations and performance monitoring. • Participate in stock counts, audits, variance investigations and corrective actions. • Prepare procurement reports and analysis, and support process improvements. Requirements • Diploma or Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Purchasing & Supply, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field. • Minimum CIPS Level 4 qualification; Level 5 or progress towards MCIPS is an advantage. • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, stores or inventory management within transport, logistics, fleet, mining or heavy-vehicle environments. • Strong knowledge of truck/trailer spare parts, workshop consumables, tyres and operational procurement. • Strong hands-on SAP experience, preferably SAP Business One. • Knowledge of procurement governance, inventory control and supplier management. • Ability to work under pressure and respond to urgent fleet/breakdown requirements. Advantageous experience • Fleet maintenance or transport workshop experience. • Experience with Sinotruk/Howo and Foton trucks. • Emergency procurement and breakdown support. • Multi-location or intercompany procurement coordination. • Fuel procurement, tyre management or workshop operations. • Experience with FMP or similar fleet maintenance systems. • Understanding of cross-border/regional operational support.
