Key Responsibilities for Operations Officer Jobs in Lusaka Team Management: Lead and schedule the outbound and dispatch team to consistently meet daily targets. Coordination & Follow-ups: Maintain communication with riders, agents, and customers to resolve delivery issues promptly. Stock Control: Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with warehouse staff to prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Route Planning: Develop and optimise delivery routes daily to minimise transit times and reduce costs. Rider & Transport Oversight: Assign delivery tasks and ensure compliance with company policies. Performance Monitoring: Take ownership of on-time delivery KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures swiftly. Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs and generate reports on dispatch activities, deliveries, and any delays. Candidate Requirements Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Purchasing and Supply, Business Administration, or a related discipline. 1 to 2 years of experience in operations, preferably within courier or delivery services. Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel for tracking and reporting purposes.
