Job Summary We are seeking a qualified, full-time Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across our clients’ properties. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, rapid emergency response, compliance with safety standards, and ensuring minimal downtime for facility operations. Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Repairs Install, inspect, and repair wiring, lighting fixtures, power outlets, circuit breakers, and electrical panels in residential and commercial properties. Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform emergency repairs to restore service promptly. Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical systems, generators, and backup power systems. Replace worn or defective parts such as fuses, switches, and sensors. Compliance & Safety Ensure all work complies with Zambian electrical codes, health, and safety regulations. Follow strict safety protocols (Lockout/Tagout) to prevent accidents during repairs. Identify and mitigate potential electrical hazards (e.g., exposed wiring, overloaded circuits). Documentation & Advisory Maintain detailed service logs, recording work performed, parts used, inspection outcomes, and time allocation. Advise management on energy-efficient upgrades or major repair needs. Report any structural or plumbing issues observed during electrical inspections to the supervisor. Property Upkeep & Client Support Respond to maintenance tickets (e.g., tripped breakers, light replacements) in a timely manner. Assist with general building upkeep when electrical tasks are completed (e.g., resetting safety equipment). Coordinate with other full-time maintenance staff to ensure seamless property operations. Qualifications & Experience Education: Grade 12 Certificate; Trade Test Certificate (Class 1 or 2) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Registration: Must be registered with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ). Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in property or facilities maintenance.
