The school is seeking suitably qualified, passionate, and experienced teachers to join its dynamic team in the Early Years and Primary sections for the 2026-2027 academic year. Available Positions 1. Early Years Lead Teacher – 2 Full-Time positions 2. Grade 1 Assistant Teacher – 1 Part-Time position Appointees will report to the Deputy Head Primary and contribute directly to all areas of teaching. The Italian School is an international school offering a comprehensive Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) programme from Nursery up to A-level. Main Purpose of the Job To implement and deliver a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students, support a designated curriculum area as needed, and facilitate a learning experience that encourages students to achieve their potential. Qualifications Required – Grade 12 Certificate. – Bachelor’s or higher degree in the subject area. – Any other relevant qualifications. – ZAQA clearance. – Current TCZ practicing license. Experience – Minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching the required subject area. – Secure knowledge and understanding of the subject area curriculum and related pedagogy. – Experience working with or teaching diverse groups/diverse students. – Evidence of continuous Professional Development. – Experience teaching the Cambridge programme is highly recommended. Key Skills – High motivation and willingness to continue learning. – Excellent understanding of effective and engaging teaching methods. – Resilience and adaptability. – High expectations for all learners. – Full understanding of the use of assessment to inform planning. – Ability to adapt schemes of work and lesson plans to suit the needs of students. – Ability to use technology to enhance student learning and experience. – Commitment to developing out-of-school activities to enhance progress, enrichment, enjoyment, and attainment. – Strong command of spoken and written English.
