CIVIL ENGINEER The civil engineer will have experience in rehabilitation plans, designs, and oversees the repair, restoration, and upgrading of existing infrastructure such as buildings and facilities. Key Responsibilities Condition Assessments: Inspect aging or damaged structures to identify structural defects, material degradation, and maintenance needs. Rehabilitation Design: Develop cost-effective repair strategies, retrofitting schemes, and technical drawings using software like AutoCAD. Cost Estimation & BoQs: Prepare detailed bills of quantities (BoQs), material estimates, and project cost forecasts. Site Supervision: Monitor ongoing repair work to ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. Quality Control: Test retrofitting materials (such as concrete strength and steel integrity) to verify they meet safety requirements. Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with contractors, local authorities, and clients to manage project execution and resolve site challenges. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 3 to 8+ years of professional experience focusing on infrastructure repair, site supervision, or construction management. Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD tools, structural analysis, technical report writing, and reading as-built drawings. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local building codes, health and safety legislation, and environmental compliance.
