Job Vacancy: Fruit and Veg Assistant Location: Copperbelt & Lusaka Region About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Fruit and Veg Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining attractive produce displays, ensuring stock quality, and delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Set up attractive fruit and vegetable displays. Ensure all produce is correctly priced and labeled. Conduct daily stock counts and report shortages. Monitor product quality and record wastage. Receive deliveries and verify quality against supplier invoices. Assist with seasonal displays and promotions. Provide customers with information about produce handling and nutritional value. Maintain stock rotation, cleanliness, and quality control procedures. Follow workplace safety regulations and support other departments when required. Qualifications & Experience Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent. Certificate or Diploma in Food, Hospitality, or a related field. 1–2 years of experience in fruit and vegetable production or a similar role. Basic knowledge of fruit and vegetable preparation and handling. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be medically fit. Skills & Competencies Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure. Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
