About the Role Reporting directly to the Country Director, the Camp General Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the lodge. Key Responsibilities for Camp General Manager Jobs in Mfuwe Manage the opening and closing of the camp at the start and end of each season, ensuring smooth transitions. Develop and implement strategic management plans to support the company’s long-term goals. Coordinate effectively with external stakeholders for guest arrivals, departures, and marketing initiatives. Lead and train lodge staff in accordance with Green Safaris’ core values and environmental policies. Maintain exceptional guest relations by delivering personalized, “at home” service experiences. Ensure the highest standards of housekeeping, maintenance, and lodge aesthetics are upheld. Oversee financial management, including cash administration, expense control, and stock management within budget limits. Support and contribute to Conservation Foundation activities linked to the lodge. Candidate Requirements At least six years of experience managing lodges, preferably in remote or safari environments. Strong technical skills to troubleshoot building, electrical, and plumbing issues in a remote setting. Comprehensive knowledge of Food and Beverage operations.
