Company: Anmut Sur Moi Trading Limited (Trading as Biogas Technology Zambia) Duty Station: Field based (assigned region/provinces) Date Posted:19th September,2026 Position: Bricklayer Reports to: Lead Mason About Us: Biogas Technology Zambia is a Zambian woman-led clean energy company specializing in biodigester systems that convert organic waste into clean biogas energy and organic fertilizer. We are scaling a 3.5-year national project to construct and install 2,000 biodigester plants across all 10 Provinces of Zambia. As we grow, we are strengthening our sales and engineering systems to support field delivery at scale. ROLE SUMMARY The Bricklayer supports biodigester construction and will be responsible for carrying out bricklaying, masonry, and related construction works during the construction and installation of biogas systems. The successful candidate will work closely with the site supervisor and other members of the construction team to ensure that work is completed safely, accurately, and according to the required standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ·Construct brickwork for biodigester plants and related structures ·Lay bricks, blocks, and other construction materials according to specifications. ·Mix and apply mortar, concrete, and other materials as required. ·Prepare foundations and carry out other masonry-related construction works. ·Read and follow basic construction drawings and instructions. ·Ensure brickwork is properly aligned, levelled, and finished. ·Assist with excavation, mobilisation of materials, site preparation, and other general construction activities when required. ·Maintain and properly use construction tools and equipment. ·Follow all company health, safety, and site procedures, including the use of PPE and safe handling of materials and tools. ·Maintain cleanliness and orderliness at the worksite. ·Work closely with supervisors and other team members to complete projects within the required timelines. ·Guide and direct the General Worker on support tasks (mixing, carrying, cleaning, fetching materials). ·Maintain quality workmanship and promptly report defects/technical issues to the Lead Mason. ·Support accurate use of materials to reduce wastage and maintain site cleanliness. ·Participate in team travel and multi-site work schedules as assigned ·Perform any other duties related to the role as assigned by the supervisor. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS · certificate in bricklaying (additional certificates in a related field will be an added advantage) · minimum 1 year experience · Copy of Grade Grade 9 or Grade 12 Certificate · Application Letter · Prior experience on biodigester/septic/tank works is an advantage (but not mandatory) SKILLS & COMPETENCIES ·Strong practical masonry skills, attention to detail, and physical fitness for site work. ·Teamwork, discipline, and willingness to learn company standards. ·Good communication and ability to coordinate a helper (General Worker). ·Willingness to travel and work in field conditions ·Candidates with bricklaying or construction experience are encouraged to apply.
