Assistant Store Manager
A footwear store in Lusaka is seeking a disciplined, organised and well-presented Assistant Store Manager who is passionate about fashion, people and sales and can help lead a high-performing team.
The Role
You will support the Store Manager in creating a store that customers love and a team that delivers excellence every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales leadership: Drive daily targets, upsell and deliver excellent customer service.
- Team leadership: Train, schedule and motivate sales staff while leading by example.
- Store operations: Support opening and closing, stock management, merchandising, cash handling and inventory.
- Visual merchandising: Maintain product displays, new-arrival presentations and window setups.
- Customer experience: Handle enquiries and complaints professionally.
- Reporting: Track daily sales and stock movement and report to the Store Manager.
- Culture: Bring energy, discipline and passion for footwear to the team.
Requirements
- At least one year of retail experience, including six months in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Fashion, footwear or retail experience is a strong advantage.
- Strong sales, people-management and customer-service skills.
- Comfortable working with cash, stock and basic reports.
- Organised, punctual and available to work weekends and public holidays.
- Based in Lusaka and available for full-time, on-site work.
- Passionate about style, trends and footwear.
