Experienced defender Isaac Shamujompa is among 12 players Zanaco FC have released ahead of the next transitional Super League campaign.

‎Zanaco on Thursday announced the departure of the 12 players, most of whom had expired contracts.
‎
‎Other notable departures from Sunset Stadium include former Under-20 star Prosper Chiluya, Eliya Mandanji and Wilson Chisala.
‎
‎The Bankers opted to renew contracts for Shamujompa, Chiluya, Samuel Sikaonga, Alon Okechi and Isaah Kazembe. However, John Chishimba and Chaniza Zulu left on mutual agreement, according to a club statement.
‎
‎Mandanji, Chipa Mand and George Ngoma’s loan deals also came to an end.
‎
‎“Zanaco Football Club wishes to inform its supporters and stakeholders of the departure of 12 players ahead of the 2026/27 season,” the club stated.
‎
‎“We sincerely thank each player for their dedication, commitment, and contribution to the Club and wish them every success in the next chapter of their careers. Thank you for your service, and all the best for the future,” Zanaco said.
‎
‎The Bankers finished seventh last season.
