Speaking during the closing of the meetings, Masaiti Constituency Presiding Officer Lubombela Mulala urged polling agents and monitors to adhere to the Electoral Code of Conduct during and after polling day.
Mr Mulala said all stakeholders have a duty to contribute towards the attainment of free, fair and credible elections.
He said the meetings were aimed at acquainting polling agents and monitors with their roles and responsibilities, as well as encouraging them to remain vigilant and ensure peace is maintained through factual reporting.
Mr Mulala reminded the gathering that ECZ has not changed anything but is merely applying constitutional provisions governing the holding of General Elections.
He further reminded all aspiring candidates that they are required to provide two polling agents at every polling station, although only one agent is allowed inside the polling station at a time.
Mr Mulala also advised all participants in the elections to adhere to the lawful requirement to remove campaign posters and other campaign materials from walls, trees and other places within fourteen days after polling day.
He said it was important for polling agents and monitors to understand their roles and those of other stakeholders who will be visiting and operating from polling stations on polling day.
And one of the polling agents, Mr Zulu, commended ECZ for equipping them with knowledge on the roles and responsibilities of polling agents and monitors.
Mr Zulu said the information had come at an opportune time and would help polling agents conduct themselves professionally and foster peaceful elections.
