The Agricultural and Commercial Cooperative Society of Zambia Limited (ACSZ) has announced that the 98th Zambia Agricultural and Commercial Show will extend its daily operations until 20:00 or even 22:00 hours, in alignment with the country’s move towards a 24-hour economy.

The adjustment aims to enhance opportunities for exhibitors and visitors, improve business networking, and offer a richer experience throughout the event

Speaking during the media briefing attended by the Zambian Business Times – ZBT, ACSZ Society President Rene Lourens, confirmed that the 2026 Show will take place from 29th July to 3rd August under the theme “Fostering Trade and Investment.”

Lourens described the event as a cornerstone of Zambia’s calendar and a marketplace for innovation, investment, and agricultural advancement.

He revealed that the Society anticipates participation from over 1,400 exhibitors this year, a figure that builds on last year’s turnout.

Lourens encouraged exhibitors to present their products and services at international standards, especially as the Society approaches its 100th show in 2028.

He said to ensure accessibility, ACSZ has maintained affordable entry fees, with daily tickets priced at K70, ordinary badges at K300, junior badges at K100, exhibitor badges at K270, VIP badges at K700, and vehicle stickers at K100.

Lourens also announced that the Society’s annual promotional march will take place on 25th July, inviting exhibitors, corporate partners, educational institutions, the public, and media to join the awareness marathon from Cairo Road Roundabout to the showgrounds.

Meanwhile, the ACSZ also announced that it has secured K550 thousand sponsorship from First Quantum Minerals (FQM) among others and K350 thousand from Sun King, alongside financial support from several other cooperating partners to facilitate this year’s show.

Ministry of Tourism Permanent Secretary Evans Muhanga, also present at the briefing, called on all participants to embrace the government’s “Zambia Moves You” national branding campaign throughout the event.

Muhanga highlighted the show’s pivotal role in marketing Zambia’s tourism, agricultural, and investment potential to both local and international audiences.

He emphasized the importance of integrating the “Zambia Moves You” campaign into all communications, marketing, and promotional activities, reinforcing Zambia’s global repositioning and the national goal of attracting five million international tourists.
