The Ministry of Transport has expressed its excitement and full support for the 16th Lusaka Motor Show, scheduled to take place from 28th to 30th August 2026.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transport said the Government is proud to see the Lusaka Motor Show grow into Zambiaโ€™s biggest and most prominent motoring exhibition, attracting exhibitors, industry players and visitors from Zambia and neighbouring countries.

The Lusaka Motor Show brings together the entire motoring and transport industry under one roof, providing a unique one-stop shop for motorists, businesses, transport operators, equipment suppliers and the general public.

The three-day event will showcase a wide range of products and services, including cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, tyres, batteries, oils, automotive equipment and accessories, as well as innovations in energy, green technology and sustainable mobility.

โ€œWe are very excited about the 16th Lusaka Motor Show. It has grown tremendously over the years and has become an important annual event on Zambiaโ€™s calendar. It brings together everything to do with motoring, transport, equipment, energy and emerging green technologies, all under one roof,โ€ said the Permanent Secretary.

The Ministry notes that the continued growth of the Lusaka Motor Show demonstrates the strength and potential of Zambiaโ€™s automotive and transport sector. The event has also increasingly attracted participation from neighbouring countries, strengthening regional trade, business relationships and investment opportunities.

Government recognises the important contribution that events such as the Lusaka Motor Show make to the national economy. Beyond showcasing products and innovation, the exhibition creates opportunities for job creation, entrepreneurship, skills development, business networking, investment and technology transfer.

The Permanent Secretary further emphasised that Government will continue to support initiatives that contribute to economic growth, promote innovation and create opportunities for Zambians.

โ€œWe are proud that this has now become an annual event and that every year it continues to get bigger and better. We encourage Zambians, businesses and our regional partners to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the show. This is more than just a motor show; it is a platform for business, innovation, investment and job creation,โ€ the Permanent Secretary said.

The 16th Lusaka Motor Show is expected to provide an exciting platform for exhibitors to display the latest vehicles, technologies, products and solutions while giving members of the public an opportunity to experience the latest developments in the motoring and transport industry.

The Ministry of Transport therefore encourages the public, industry stakeholders, businesses and regional participants to attend and support the 2026 Lusaka Motor Show as Zambia continues to position itself as a growing hub for motoring, transport, equipment and green-energy innovation.
