YOU’LL WASTE YOUR VOTE AND TIME IF YOU DON’T VOTE FOR UPND SAYS WYNTER KABIMBA.

Economic Front leader Wynter Kabimba says Zambians who choose not to vote for President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND on August 13 will only be wasting their time and vote.

Speaking on Mafken Radio’s live programme this afternoon, Mr. Kabimba said voters who reject the ruling party may eventually regret their decision.

He claimed that the opposition National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) is not ready to govern the country, arguing that the opposition has failed to present what he considers a convincing message to Zambians.

Mr. Kabimba said winning an election may appear easy from the outside, but governing a country is a completely different challenge.

“Running a country is a serious business. I’m saying this from experience”.

“When PF won the elections in 2011, it became difficult to run the country. So it’s not easy, though it sounds easy. It’s like spectators watching football; it might seem easy to point out mistakes, but being in the match is a different story,” he said.

Mr. Kabimba stressed that he was not suggesting the opposition was incapable of governing, but said he had concerns about the teams currently assembled by opposition parties.

“I am not saying they cannot do it, but looking at their team, it can be difficult. And I’m not saying this out of malice,” he said.

The Economic Front leader further criticised the Patriotic Front’s record in government, saying it was not a record that anyone should be proud of.

Mr. Kabimba said his assessment was based on his experience and his current position as an observer of the UPND administration.
