Trump court papers sent to White House, Iran lawmaker says

A senior Iranian lawmaker said on Thursday that a court summons issued for US President Donald Trump over last month’s war had been sent to the White House through international channels.

“We must send summonses to Netanyahu and Trump. I am informed that some of the letters have gone to the White House and have been returned to the judiciary through international channels,” Manouchehr Mottaki, a Tehran lawmaker and former foreign minister, said in an interview with ISNA.

Mottaki’s remarks came days after Iran’s judiciary said it had issued indictments against Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the recent war.
