Third-term debate should not be entertained neither today nor tomorrow. Those advocating for constitutional amendments must realize that our nation has just emerged from a heavily contested election. Pushing for constitutional changes at this juncture does a great disservice to our country.

Reopening this debate is equivalent to launching a political campaign that will drag on for three full years. Are we truly prepared to prioritize endless political posturing over critical conversations about national unity and economic development?

Furthermore, what message does this send to potential investors? It signals that our priority as a nation is playing political games rather than focusing on real, productive work.

I had avoided to add my voice on this topic as I took it as mere gossip but then its on some letter head of an organisation pushing for a private members bill!! Guys not even cabinet is in place so why dramatise the issue of constitutional Amendments?

Or maybe we should go to court and stop the discussion? We have the economy to deal with in the face of alnino coming our way, we have a country to help heal post the elections.
