..ECZ data reveals massive nomination gaps for opposition NRPUP handing UPND early, unassailable lead ahead of August 13 polls

OFFICIAL statistics from the Electrol Commission of Zambia (ECZ) reveal that the National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP), leading the Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance under Brian Mundubile has failed to field candidates in 75 parliamentary constituencies, 89 council chairpersons positions and 436 wards nationwide.

This catastrophic administrative collapse leaves the ruling UPND perfectly positioned to win the general elections, already securing six mayoral seats, seven members of Parliament and 176 councillors before a single ballot cast.

While Mr Mundubile promises a ‘national liberation’ at mega-rallies, the ECZ data shows a ghost ship.

The alliance’s ground game has evaporated across major regions with Parliamentary gaps abscence in 33 per cent of all constituencies.

The unrepresented 77 per cent of local councils while Ward councillors were missing from 23 per cent of the local ward.

The regional blackouts chokes out Southern, Western and North-Western provinces as the UPND’s flawless ground game.

In stark contrast, President Hakainde Hichilema’s UPND achieved total cross-country saturation with a perfect attendance in all the 226 constituencies pocketing 186 automatically.

But Mr Mundubile insists that the ruling party  was out of touch pointing to high living costs to fuel momentum yet, the alliance failed the first rule of politics: showing up on the ballot paper.

A Political analysts on the Coppebelt called the strategy self-sabotage.

“You cannot govern a country when you concede a third of Parliament before election day,” Mr Micheal Malama observed.

As the August 13 election nears, the Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance faceed with a brutal mathematical reality—their hopes  high, but their numbers simply do not count.
