BREAKING NEWS: Tensions Rise in Kasama Over Alleged Election Irregularities

KASAMA — Tensions are reportedly rising in Kasama following allegations that Acting Permanent Secretary for Northern Province, Madam Undi Phiri, is attempting to influence election results in favour of the UPND.

According to reports reaching us, police officers allegedly fired gunshots to disperse NRPUP leaders who had gone to inspect ballot papers reportedly being stored at a private residence.

The NRPUP leadership claims that ballot papers from Kasama Central, Kasama North and Lukashya constituencies were being collected and stored at Madam Undi Phiri’S residence in Kasama.

Authorities and the Electoral Commission of Zambia are urged to clarify the situation and ensure that all election materials are secured and handled in accordance with electoral procedures.
