PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has thanked residents of Shantumbu in Kafue East Constituency, Lusaka Province, for turning out in large numbers to welcome him.

President Hichilema said Shantumbu has the potential to become “the next big city” and pledged more development for the area.

“Vote for us so that more roads can be done. More jobs can be created. Shantumbu has potential to turn into the next big city and together we shall ensure that this happens,” the President wrote.

He urged Zambians to vote for the UPND in the upcoming August elections, saying it would accelerate infrastructure and job creation.
