President Hakainde Hichilema has called on residents of Zambezi District in North-Western Province to vote for the United Party for National Development (UPND) in the forthcoming General Elections scheduled for August 13, 2026.
President Hichilema notes that the UPND administration has made significant strides in developing the country since taking office.
Speaking during a community engagement at Zambezi Primary School grounds, the Head of State urged the people of Zambezi to safeguard the country’s hard-earned economic gains by backing the ruling party in the upcoming polls.
President Hichilema noted that continued support for the UPND will ensure the uninterrupted implementation of progressive policies aimed at promoting grassroots economic growth, free education, peace, national unity, and the equitable distribution of employment opportunities
“I cannot develop this country alone. For us to bring meaningful development to Zambezi, I need a unified team. I urge you to vote for the UPND candidate alongside all our adopted Members of Parliament, Councilors, and Council Chairpersons, so we can work together to deliver on our promises,” President Hichilema said
