President Hakainde Hichilema has urged the people of Chavuma district in North-Western Province to vote for him and all the United Party for National Development (UPND) candidates in the August 13, 2026 general elections if they are to continue enjoying the freedom they have been relishing for the past five years.
President Hichilema said it is only by voting the UPND back into power that the people of Chavuma can continue benefiting from the unprecedented developmental projects and good social and economic policies the district has witnessed and benefited from under his sound leadership.
He said Chavuma is benefiting from initiatives such as the free education law and effects of the increased Constituency Development Fund (CDF) among others.
President Hichilema said this during a public rally held at Moses Luneta school grounds in Chavuma today.
The Head of State said he is aware of the social and economic challenges the country is facing and assured the people of Chavuma that these problems will all be addressed once given another term of office.
“Before we formed government, the country was in a crisis and we know where we are coming from. Chavuma supported me and the party while in opposition in difficult times. So let us continue with the same bond,” he said.
And President Hichilema has said his government will work on the Mutanda-Chavuma road and embark on many other developmental projects that the district is in direct need of.
