A FORTY year old Nakonde based female cop is currently behind bars with three other women after a video of her flogging a young lady she found in bed with hubby went viral.
According to reports, the young lady was caught pants down, allegedly keeping the officer’s husband warm under the covers in their tick duvets during this winter.
To make it more frustrating to the officer, her man caught red handed was so calm and silent like a Pangolin entering a citizen’s yard carefree knowing that it is a protected animal.
This angered the uniformed cop who literally took the law into her hands, found a stick, poured all her frustration on the young lady and started whipping the her mercilessly like her strokes were deliverance from the demon of lust.
The victim, who is reportedly the officer’s maid, was seen in the video being filmed screaming in pain while pleading for forgiveness.
Following investigations, it was discovered that the woman in the video, cracking the whip, was Diana Mukelebai, a police officer based in Nakonde.
She was apprehended for aggravated assault along with Judith Nangoi, aged 42; Mervis Nakamba, aged 26; and Lister Nachamba, aged 38 and they are currently in police detention.
Police only confirmed the detention of the three and the assault incident which occurred on Monday, July 13, 2026, between 11:00 and 12:00 hours in Mulenda area of Nakonde District.
Police spokesperson Godfrey Chilabi said the matter was reported at Nakonde Police Station on Wednesday around 17:00 hours by a 23-year-old woman of Ntindi area, who alleged that she was assaulted by four women.
“It is alleged that the complainant was assaulted using a stick and was slapped, resulting in physical injuries. She further alleged that she was threatened and that the incident was recorded on video without her consent,” Chilabi said.
“In addition to the alleged aggravated assault, the suspects may face further charges under the Cyber Crimes Act No. 4 of 2025 in connection with the alleged recording and possible distribution of an explicit video without the complainant’s consent.”
The 23 year old whose name was not mentioned, was issued with a medical report form and referred to Nakonde Urban Health Centre for medical examination and treatment.
Chilabi said investigations are still ongoing over the case.
The Police service further reiterated its zero tolerance for Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and promised to deal with perpetrators in accordance with the law, regardless of their status, position, or background.
