NRPUP SWEEPS ALL CHINGOLA PARLIAMENTAY SEATS

Opposition NRPUP has swept all three parliamentary constituencies in Chingola in the 2026 General Election, securing victories in Nchanga, Chingola Central and Chingola West.

The victories include notable defeats for prominent political and public figures.

Musician Kaira Mulaza, popularly known as Macky 2 who contested Nchanga as an independent candidate has lost to NRPUP’s Rosemary Chipoya.

In Chingola West, former Commerce Minister Chipoka Mulenga has also lost to NRPUP candidate Boris Chansa.

The sweep gives NRPUP control of all three parliamentary seats in Chingola and marks a major shift in the Copperbelt’s parliamentary landscape.

Zambians went to the polls on August 13, 2026, to elect the President, Members of Parliament, mayors, council chairpersons and councillors.
