MULILO KABESHA SUED FOR UNLAWFUL DETENTION OF 11 KAPUTA RESIDENTS AT KASAMA CENTRAL POLICE

NRPUP/Tonse Lawyers have sued the Attorney General – Mr. Mulilo Kabesha SC in the Kasama High Court for arbitrary detaining 11 Kaputa residents who are also supporters of Brian Mundubile’s NRPUP.

In the affidavit in support deposed to by the applicants who include 5 juveniles aged between 9 and 10 and; an aspiring councilor, it has been alleged that they have spent 15 days in custody at Kasama Central Police without being charged or taken to court.

ECZ has equally stopped NRPUP from campaigning in Kaputa and in conjunction with the Officer in Charge at Kaputa Police Mr. Sepiso who is targeting strong supporters of Brian Mundubile and aspiring Mp – Gilbert Chipili, in favour of the former MP Elvis Nkandu who is recontesting his seat on the UPND.
