MUHOOZI WARNS MINISTERS OVER FOREIGN TRAVEL

Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who is President Museveni’s son has reportedly warned that any minister who leaves the country without his permission will face a Shs30 million fine.

Muhoozi said the money collected would be used to build roads, adding that the Ministry of Finance would immediately begin implementing the directive.

The statement comes amid ongoing debate in Uganda over government officials’ travel and expenditure.
