MPALI ACTORS DISTANCE THEMSELVES FROM NGUZU’S ENDORSEMENT OF MUNDUBILE.

Some actors from the popular Zambezi Magic television series Mpali have distanced themselves from fellow actor Mutale Monde, popularly known as Mr. Nguzu, following his endorsement of NRPUP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile.

Speaking on behalf of those who do not share Mr. Nguzu’s political stance, actor Boas Lungu said Mr. Nguzu made a personal decision and should not be viewed as representing the entire Mpali cast.

Mr. Lungu stated that he and several other cast members support President Hakainde Hichilema and the United Party for National Development (UPND), citing what they described as the administration’s achievements in office.

“An individual endorsement does not mean that we all support what he chose. Me and others are supporting the President and his party, UPND. Therefore, his endorsement should not be mistaken for the whole team endorsing Mr. Mundubile,” Mr. Lungu said

He further urged public figures to exercise caution when using their influence to express political opinions.

“Sometimes, as actors and celebrities, we shouldn’t use our influence to mislead people because Zambia is our country. We all know where we are coming from and where we are now. He has chosen to support Mr. Mundubile, while we are supporting President Hichilema,” he added.
