MILES SAMPA DEMANDS APOLOGY FROM UK-BASED TONSE ALLIANCE SUPPORTER LILLIAN MUTAMBO OVER DEFAMATORY ALLEGATIONS

Former Matero Member of Parliament Miles Sampa has demanded an apology from opposition Tonse Alliance UK-based supporter and blogger Lillian Mutambo over alleged defamatory remarks, or face legal action within 7-days.

In a letter of demand issued through Mutemwa Chambers, Mr. Sampa says Ms. Mutambo published statements on her Facebook page, “Lily Mutamz TV”, accusing him of killing a woman identified as Ruth Mbandu.

The alleged publication was made on or about 16 July 2026 and has since circulated widely on social media.

Mr. Sampa has described the remarks as false, malicious and without any factual or legal basis, saying that he has never been convicted of, charged with, or held responsible for the death of Ms. Mbandu or any other person.

He further states that the publication has exposed him to public ridicule and damaged his reputation, as it suggested that he was involved in criminal conduct, concealed a pregnancy through homicide, and was evading prosecution through political influence.

Through his lawyers, Mr. Sampa is demanding that Ms. Mutambo remove the publication from all platforms under her control, issue an unconditional apology and retraction, and confirm in writing that she will not repeat the allegations.

The letter warns that failure to comply within 7-days of receipt will result in legal proceedings being initiated without further notice.
