Litunga Lubosi Imwiko II, turned up early to be one of the first people to cast their vote at Mid Kuta One Polling Station in Mongu.

The LITUNGA, Lubosi Imwiko II, has cast his vote at Limulunga Mid Kuta One Polling Station, located within the Barotse Royal Palace.

Traditionally, the Litunga is the first person to cast his vote at the polling station, paving the way for his subjects and giving them a royal blessing to participate in the electoral process.

Following the Litunga’s vote, other eligible citizens proceeded to exercise their right to vote.

Voters were also seen queuing at polling stations across Luena Constituency as the 2026 General Election got underway.

The electorate is expected to cast their ballots for their preferred candidates as part of the democratic process.
