To my campaign team, my family and friends who stood with me through the long days and nights, I will forever be grateful.

Of course, we would have loved a different result, but the people have spoken and we respect their decision. I gave this campaign everything I had, and I am proud that we ran a peaceful and spirited campaign.

This chapter may have ended differently from what we all hoped but my desire to serve our people has not ended.
