Speaking after being sworn in, Mr Katuta described poor roads as the constituency’s biggest hurdle, noting that some areas take up to six hours to access due to bad conditions.
For youth, he proposed zoning them into clusters and equipping them with mechanised farming tools to boost agricultural output on available land.
Other priority areas he listed include water supply in schools, internet access, education, health, agriculture, fisheries, tourism and energy. He said he will engage line ministries to secure support outside of CDF.
Mr Katuta stated his work will align with the UPND’s Grow Zambia agenda.
