KABWE Municipal Council has stepped up the rehabilitation of feeder roads under the Presidential Delivery Unit, with works underway across the district to improve mobility and accessibility for residents.

The local authority, through its Engineering Department, is rehabilitating roads in poor condition across the 29 wards in Bwacha and Kabwe Central constituencies using the 2025 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) allocation.

The works are being undertaken using the 2025 CDF allocation of K3.1 million for each constituency.

During a spot check of the ongoing works, the newly procured CDF road equipment was seen carrying out Phase Two of gravelling and compacting in Zambezi Ward. Similar works are also underway in Makululu Ward.

“Kabwe Municipal Council has intensified the rehabilitation of feeder roads under the Presidential Delivery Unit to ease mobility for citizens in the district. The Local Authority, through the Engineering Department, is continuing works on roads in a bad state across the 29 wards in Bwacha and Kabwe Central Constituencies. The works are being undertaken using the CDF 2025 allocation of K3.1 million for each constituency,” stated the Kabwe Municipal Council.

“However, rehabilitation is currently ongoing in various wards under the three constituencies using the 2025 feeder roads allocation. This will be followed by the rollout of works under the 2026 feeder roads rehabilitation allocation. During a spot check, the newly procured yellow CDF road equipment was observed undertaking Phase Two of gravelling and compacting works in Zambezi Ward, as well as on Roads 9, 10, and 13 in Makululu Ward”.
