PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema on Sunday urged voters in Mapatizya, Southern Province, to turn out “in huge numbers” for the United Party for National Development in the Aug. 13 general election.

Addressing thousands at a campaign meeting, Hichilema thanked residents for their turnout.

“Thank you very much nobana Mapatizya in Southern Province for coming in thousands to our meeting today,” he said.

The President said his administration remains focused on key sectors.

“Our administration is resolved to continue supporting Agriculture, Mining, Health, Education among other economic fundamentals,” he said. “We are determined to continue delivering for you all.”

Hichilema said votes are needed to safeguard progress and deliver more development.

“For the stated gains to be protected and more to come, we need your votes this August,” he said. “Go and vote in huge numbers for the UPND this coming month.”

He assured residents of continued government support.

“We love you. We care for you and we will continue delivering for you,” he said.

“This was part of our message to the wonderful people of Mapatizya in Southern Province today. God Bless Zambia,” he added.
