‎‎Tonse/Pamodzi alliance chairperson Sakwiba Sikota says there is “untold desperation” by President Hakainde Hichilema’s administration to find whatever they can to stop Brian Mundubile and Makebi Zulu from contesting for elections again, owing to the ‘rapid popularity’ they have gained with Zambians.

‎And Sikota said the sedition case involving Mundubile and Zulu in Solwezi could not take off as lawyers for the accused were only given less than 24 hours of the matter coming up.

‎Speaking with Daily Revelation, Sikota said the August 2026 general elections had made it abundantly clear for all to see that Mundubile and Zulu were a serious threat to President Hichilema and the UPND, and that it was only a matter of time before they removed the ruling party from office.
