After a meeting with residents, President Hichilema said Mpulungu will be developed as a linkage to neighboring countries for trade and investment, and also as another tourism destination for Zambia.
“We are opening up Mpulungu not only as a linkage to neighbouring brothers and sisters for trade and investment but as yet again another tourism destination for Zambia. This will add to the jobs being created,” he said.
The President acknowledged that the cost of living remains high and said government is working to lower it.
“This first term saw us managing a lot of economic challenges left behind and now that these are behind us, we shall in the next term if given the mandate by you voters, God’s WILL, deliver even more,” he added.
He urged voters to support the UPND in the August elections to ensure continued delivery of jobs and business opportunities.
“Twataizya Ba Mpulungu for coming in thousands to our meeting today. God Bless Mpulungu North and Mpulungu South Constituencies,” he said.
