Frank Mutubila has advised people who are aggrieved by election results to stop watching news and following social media as this would worsen their feelings.

The elections are over, and life must go on according to the will of God, for God is sovereign. As Christians, we should find calm, peace and unity by focusing on the spiritual truths that never change. Political victories and losses do not change the eternal rule of God. Your identity is in Christ, and your primary value comes from your faith, not from your political party or political affiliation.

Jesus promised His followers peace even in times of uncertainty. Release your anxieties and step away from the constant flow of news, political arguments and social media conflicts when they begin to disturb your peace. Quiet your mind, trust God with the future, and place your worries in His hands rather than allowing uncertainty about the election results to consume you.

Put down bitterness. Forgive the harsh words spoken during the heat of the political season. Seasons come and go, governments change, political parties rise and fall, but our responsibility to love one another remains. Value people over politics. Treat your friends, neighbours and family members with kindness and respect, even when they voted differently from you. Political differences should never destroy our humanity or our relationships.

Let us also pray for those in authority, that they may lead with justice, wisdom, humility and fairness. Let us pray for Zambia, asking God to bring healing, peace, calm and mutual respect to our communities. As Christians, let us be prayerful rather than fearful, hopeful rather than bitter, and united rather than divided.

Heavenly Father, I come before You today with a humble heart, seeking Your guidance, wisdom and blessings upon this nation, Zambia. We place our nation in Your hands. Bring peace to our hearts, healing to our communities, wisdom to those in authority, and unity among Your people. Help us to forgive, to love, to show compassion and to remain faithful to You, regardless of political differences.

May Zambia be guided by justice, peace, righteousness and respect for every citizen. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
