Vice President Mutale Nalumango today led hundreds of mourners at Leopards Hill Memorial Park in Lusaka for the burial of the late former Vice President, Guy Scott.

In honour of Dr Scott, Mrs Nalumango handed a Zambian flag and his portrait to the widow, Charlotte Scott, at the burial site.

Meanwhile, Dr Scott’s family representative, Anthony Kasolo, thanked the government for the care accorded to the late Dr Scott during his illness.

Mr Kasolo also thanked the government and the Zambia Army for their support rendered during the funeral process.

He said the family was grateful for the manner in which the government organised the send-off of the late Dr Scott.

A 17-gun salute was also accorded to the late former Vice President at the burial site in his honour.

Dr Scott, aged 82, died on Wednesday July 15, 2026.
