CONFUSION ERUPTS AT KITWE’S OXFOLD STATION.

Confusion has erupted at Kitwe’s Oxford station in protest of the alleged UPND’s leadership by some bus drivers who said they have no support in the current leadership.

A check by a Yar FM news crew, found police officers and the army already deployed to restore sanity.

During press time, no confirmed cases of property damage in the Central Business District while on-lookers confirmed that it was a peaceful protest.

The situation has triggered the closure of several businesses, including multinational chain stores such as Shoprite, Choppies, pick n Pay, Hungry Lion Town Centre and KFC.

Local businesses, among them Termites Butchery and Zambeef, have also closed as tension continues to grip the town centre.

Earlier, motorists were reluctant to speak on the unfolding situation, reportedly for fear of attacks linked to the leadership at the station, with the developments leaving businesses and residents on edge as authorities moved in to contain the situation.
