President Hakainde Hichilema has continued to receive messages of congratulations from international leaders and institutions following his re-election as President of the Republic of Zambia.
President of Benin, Romuald Wadagni, has congratulated Mr Hichilema on his re-election, underscoring the need to strengthen relations between Zambia and Benin.
Mr Wadagni said the two countries should give fresh impetus to bilateral relations and align their efforts towards economic transformation and continental integration.
He noted that enhanced cooperation between Zambia and Benin will contribute to the mutual benefit and prosperity of citizens in both countries.
“There is need to give fresh impetus to relations between Zambia and Benin and align our efforts towards economic transformation and continental integration,” Mr Wadagni said.
Meanwhile, the World Bank Group has also congratulated President Hichilema on his re-election.
The World Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Zambian government’s development priorities through financing, knowledge sharing, technical assistance, private investment and capital mobilisation.
The Bank further said the support is aimed at helping Zambia accelerate sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
“We reaffirm our commitment to support the government’s priorities and help accelerate sustainable and inclusive growth for Zambia,” the World Bank said in a congratulatory message.
The messages of goodwill underscore continued international confidence in Zambia’s development agenda and the importance of strengthening partnerships to advance economic transformation and national development.
