Zambia has been plunged into mourning following the death of Hon. Mutotwe Kafwaya, who was reportedly shot dead five days ago during an operation at a named residence in Kabulonga.
Police have confirmed the incident.
Reacting to the news, Organized People’s Party President, Eng. Dr. Brian Mushimba described the killing as “the most senseless way” to lose a leader.
Dr. Mushimba said politics should be a contest of ideas and never a battlefield where people lose their lives.
“This is extremely painful to process the death of Hon Kafwaya in this manner. Trust has been broken and not sure how it will be rebuilt. A line has been crossed,” he declared.
Dr. Mushimba said citizens deserve answers for closure.
“We, as citizens, seek full details on this sad event for closure. His family, his children needs to be told why their father had to die this way,” he added.
