‎A 19 old woman has been found dead at Chiumbu Village in Chief Kakumbi’s area of Mambwe District.
‎
‎The incident occurred around 10:00 hours today.
‎
‎According to Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer Robertson Mweemba, the deceased, Naomi Mmumanga, was believed to be a sympathiser of the NRPUP, while her elder sister was believed to be a sympathiser of the UPND.
‎
‎Mr. Mweemba said the duo had been quarrelling over politics since August 22, 2026.
‎
‎He said today, Naomi woke up and did her household chores before later entering the house, where she did not come out, which was unusual.
‎
‎Mr. Mweemba said a check was conducted in the house, where Naomi was discovered dead by one of her friends who had gone looking for her.
‎
‎He said police officers visited the scene and found the body hanging from the roof.
‎
‎Mr. Mweemba said the family had not suspected any foul play.
