Position Details Position: Senior Accountant Location: Ndola (Butchery & Bakery Operations) Reports To: Chief Accountant Industry: FMCG / Food Production Role Summary God First Bakery and General Dealers is seeking a competent and motivated Senior Accountant to ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls and support cost management across butchery and bakery operations. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update the general ledger for all business units Prepare journal entries, adjustments, accruals and reconciliations Lead month-end and year-end closing processes Prepare draft financial statements and audit schedules Analyze account balances and investigate variances Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis Review postings from AP, AR, Inventory and Payroll subledgers Reconcile inventory accounts and monitor WIP and finished goods Assist with cost of sales calculations and stock valuation Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register Ensure compliance with Zambian tax laws and statutory requirements Strengthen internal controls and support audit processes Supervise junior accounting staff and deputize the Chief Accountant when required Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field ZICA Licentiate/ZICA Professional, ACCA Level 2 or above, or CIMA Advanced Diploma or above Valid ZICA Membership is mandatory Minimum 3 years traceable experience in accounting or finance Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, bakery, butchery or production environments is an added advantage Strong knowledge of general ledger management, reconciliations and financial reporting Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel How to Apply Submit application letter, CV and certified copies of academic and professional qualifications to The Human Resources Department, GF Bakery and General Traders, Mozacnyambe2018@gmail.com, Plot 5095 Masangano Road Mushili, Ndola.
