Employee Contract Type: Local – Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term) Job Description: Data Collection & Management Assist in household mapping and recruitment of women of reproductive age (18–45 years) across study villages. Conduct baseline and follow-up surveys on maternal health-seeking behaviour, expenditure, and birth preparedness. Collect and verify data from Antenatal care cards, maternity registers, and community health worker (CHW) reports. Ensure high-quality data entry, cleaning, and storage following project protocols. Implementation Monitoring Administer fidelity assessment checklists to SG leaders and CHW supervisors via phone or in-person. Document barriers, facilitators, and contextual factors affecting intervention adoption and sustainability. Conduct qualitative interviews with key informants and focus group discussions with community stakeholders. Community Engagement Support community Agents and Community Health Workers in delivering behavioural encouragement interventions to Savings Groups (SGs). Liaise with village leaders, Community Health Workers s, and SG members to ensure smooth implementation of interventions. Participate in community sensitization activities to promote awareness of research project objectives. Project coordination Track project timelines, deliverables and workplans Support budget tracking of project at Area Development Programme Provide regular updates on field activities, challenges, and progress. Coordinate logistical arrangements for trainings, workshops, and stakeholder meetings. Prepare summaries and reports of field findings for internal review. Required Knowledge, Qualifications, Professional Experience, training, license, registration, and certification Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Demography, Development Studies, Public Health or any other relevant fields. Prior experience in community-based research is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse community stakeholders. Proficiency in Tonga is an advantage. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data. Sensitivity to cultural norms and practices in rural areas. Ability to collaborate effectively with CHWs, SG leaders, and other research staff. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Flexibility to adjust to evolving project needs and contexts. Experience with data analysis software such as SPSS, STATA, R, Power BI, or NVivo is an advantage.
