Job Purpose: The Quality Assurance Officer will lead and oversee all quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure Coatings & Chemicals products consistently meet regulatory standards, customer requirements, and company specifications. You will drive a culture of quality across production, raw materials, and finished goods. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, implement and maintain QA/QC systems, SOPs and policies for paint and chemical manufacturing • Ensure all raw materials, in-process and finished products meet ZABS and industry quality standards • Conduct product testing, inspections and audits at all stages of production • Investigate customer complaints, non-conformances and lead corrective/preventive actions • Manage laboratory operations, testing equipment and calibration schedules • Train production staff on quality standards, GMP, and safety procedures • Maintain documentation and records for traceability and regulatory compliance • Liaise with Production, Procurement and R&D to ensure continuous quality improvement • Monitor waste, rework and ensure environmental, health and safety compliance Qualifications & Experience: • Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or related field. Diploma with relevant experience will be considered • Work experience: Minimum 3 to 2 years’ experience in QA/QC within manufacturing, preferably paints, coatings or chemicals • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ZABS standards, GMP and laboratory testing procedures • Strong understanding of paint formulations, raw materials and production processes • Proven experience in setting up and managing QA systems • Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills • Computer literate and good report writing skills.
