VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT – 22nd June 2026 ACADEMIC & ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS 1. Deputy Vice Chancellor Applicants must possess: A PhD from a recognized university in a relevant discipline. At least the Academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor. A strong record of scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals. Demonstrated success in securing research grants and managing research projects. Extensive experience in University Teaching, Research, and Academic administration. Evidence of leadership in research, Innovation, Postgraduate supervision, and Academic programme development. ZAQA verification of Academic qualifications. Membership in relevant professional bodies where applicable. Experience A minimum of ten (10) years of university teaching and research experience. At least five (5) years of senior Academic leadership experience, such as Dean, Director, Head of Department, Research Coordinator, or equivalent. Proven experience in strategic planning, policy development, and institutional management. 2. DEAN OF STUDENT AFFAIRS (1 POSITION) Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, Education, or related field. Experience in student administration and welfare services. PhD will be an added advantage 3. DEAN – SCHOOL OF BUSINESS (2 POSITION) Qualifications: PhD in Business Administration, Management, or related field. Minimum of 5 years’ university teaching and leadership experience. Proven record of Research and Academic leadership. 4. . HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER (2 POSITION) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field from a recognized institution. Membership with a relevant professional body will be an added advantage. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in HR administration. Duties: HR administration, recruitment, employee records management, and staff welfare coordination. 5. . LECTURER – MINING ENGINEERING (2 POSITION) Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Mining Engineering or related field. Teaching experience in higher education will be an added advantage. Registration or eligibility for professional body membership eg EIZ. 6. . LECTURER – CIVIL ENGINEERING (2 POSITION) Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Experience in lecturing or industry practice preferred. PhD will be an added advantage 7. . UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN (2 POSITION) Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science or related field. Experience in Library Management. 8. . ACCOUNTANT (2 POSITION) Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional qualification (ZICA/ACCA/CIMA) is an added advantage. Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience. 9. LECTURER – PURCHASING AND SUPPLY (2 POSITION) Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or related field. Teaching experience preferred. 10. LECTURER – TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS (2 POSITION) Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Transport and Logistics Management or related field. Industry or teaching experience is an added advantage. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (ALL LECTURING POSITIONS) Applicants for lecturing positions must: Hold a Master’s Degree or higher qualification in the relevant field. Possess a Teaching Methodology qualification or equivalent pedagogical training. Be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA). Demonstrate competence in curriculum development, lecturing, and student assessment. Have strong communication, research, and ICT skills.
